Then I see other users who say that Smash 4 is the perfect mix between Melee and Brawl, so I really don't know what to believe!

This game isn't like brawl at all other than being a smash game. I got some time with the demo today. I could go over things but I don't think it would be worth it since they said this build is pre-alpha. Seriously, the game wasn't very polished and mechanics aren't fleshed out in this demo. I understand why they delayed the 3ds version and wouldn't be surprised if the wii u version gets delayed as well.

So yeah, I got to stand in line for 2 hours to play 2 minutes... worth it? Heck yeah!
First of all, I forgot my 3DS. So many Streetpasses... *cries*
Anyways, I got to play a bit of Smash Run on 3DS (played as Samus because the player before me chose her) and it was pretty darn neat. The map is absolutely huge and offers so much diversity in the layout and enemies. I was really happy to see that Egg-Robo from Sonic was an enemy there. He used his gun to fire a laser across the screen.
But after that we got to the big screen. I chose Greninja (black alt color with the red tongue-scarf), my sister chose Fox, and two others chose Zelda and Mega Man (every match had a Mega Man haha). We agreed to play on the Punch-Out!! Ring, and of course the rules were Time Match 2:00 with items on.
First of all, Greninja has hops! I mean, I get he's a frog, but jumping with him felt like any other characters with the bunny hood on. He can get up fast. But he's fast on the ground as well. I was more focused on the win than I was on discovering his moveset and how he plays, so I resorted to Smash attacks and areal strikes. Characters can take a lot of damage before really being KOed, but then again the stage is veeeeery long horizontally, and the lighting rig saved those who were Smashed upwards.
So I got tired of that and resorted to a different tactic, using Greninja's hops to get up to the lighting rig and send it crashing down, KOing all three characters. I got a few more KOs by the time the timer ended, and I got the victory! My first of (hopefully) many more. The rep said that Greninja was a popular choice, and I can see why. He's quick, mobile, and can hit pretty hard.
All in all, I had some fun. Can't wait for October. :D
My hype for this game increases everyday. Can't wait to play as Greninja.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
"Here are some weapons the Mii Swordfighter can use: Shurikens of Light, Chakrams, and Gale Strikes. You can control the direction the Chakram is thrown, or even make it stall in midair. The Chakram is also the only one of these tied to the side special move, so you can use one of the other items consecutively with this one."

Lucky bastard! What were you control options for the Wii U? Did they all have GameCube controllers like at E3?

They had four white Pro Controllers (the GamePad was just sitting by the T.V.). A was normal attack, B was special, and X/Y were jump. No GameCube controllers, but the Pro were still comfortable and intuitive with the Smash gameplay.
was there no update for today?

I am so excited for the Wii U version! I still play the one on the Wii at least once a week if not more often. (hours at a time of course lol)
