Yeah, alot of those matches you can tell they are figuring things out, some of them they only seem halfway competetive, half way messing around with the new characters. Olimar was definately an example of that, that wasn't quite pro level olimar play right there, but it illustrates that it will take some time to figure him out. It will take alot of micromanaging skills to keep track of which pikmin you're throwing next, and switching between pikmin to get the desired effects of the attack, as well as keeping track of the pikmin on the stage so you're not just wasting a space in your line up with some yellow pikmin standing off in the corner.

He has potential, but it's not going to be a pit or metaknight like character where you just pick him up and are instantly decent with him. He'll probably suck unless you actually practice mastering his unique skills. I really look forward to using him.

What do you guys think of the (most likely fake) dumped "file list" for the japanese brawl disc?

I don't really care about any new "leaks". We have the roster, the music list, the stage list. Anything "new" is either very minor information, or fake stuff that somebody is trying to get attention with.

I just found his write up of his impressions on that same website, and he does confirm that he was finding it challenging getting used to Olimar. He also notes how different the game in general feels to play in comparison to melee, and that you cannot expect to play the same way if you hope to fight competitively. His insight was quite interesting, I'll probably look back to his blog at a later date.

I'm inclined to believe it, I wouldn't be surprised if they started to design the characters in that list, then decided to abandon them and forgot to remove them from the game files.

SSBB looks and sounds so awesome. Man I wish I had a Wii.

I preordered Brawl!

I went to Circuit City, because I get a $10 gift card when I pick up Brawl...sweet. Also, the card on the shelf for preordering Brawl (they do preorders for select games only I'm guessing) said it'll be in stock March 8. 8????

But my receipt said pick it up March 9...so I think I'll be checking BOTH days hehe.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I pre-ordered mine at CC as well.

I'm going to have to go on a brawl fast soon. Now that it's out I don't want to just watch video after video of people playing, I want to play. I'm afraid I'll be burnt out before I even get it. I think a few weeks before it's out, I'll fast on brawl.
