It is no fun at all, they just spam his electric thing and then charge me as they get closer. His thunder attack is cheap, if your opponent is above you you can just spam it until they die. I just suicide if I fight a pikachu.....

Thunder is easily avoidable, it can be air dodge if you're moving left or right, it can be reflected by many characters and other can get by in between two thunders.
