Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo purposefully held all its games back for MSony launches due to pubs.

Its become painfully clear that EA, Activision and potentially other publishers (except Ubi) have purposefully skipped WiiU this year.

EA blacklisted Nintendo, but recently said it may come next year.

Activision recently updated its COD whore house with no WiiU listing and may skip a year similar to Wii's early years.

NBA2k specifically said its skipping this year only.

why you ask? Well, if WiiU clearly has none of the big yearly whore franchises on the same year as MSony launch, then those buyers will definitely not consider WiiU as it "has no games".

The big gain for these pubs for this is... wait for it... DRM. WiiU will likely be the only one without any and those pubs want to either force Nintendo to implement it or simply make it die.

Nintendo is not stupid and could easily see this lack of these titles this holiday, so instead it purposefully put all its game from August and on.

Pikmin, Zelda, Mario, MarioKart and many others.

Guess all my money will go to Nintendo and Ubisoft this year.

I don't think CoD is out of the picture yet - Activision pretends to forget about Nintendo *every year* and CoD comes out nearly every year anyways.

It is very clear which systems these publishers are pushing, however. On a similar note, there has been very strong leaks that Microsoft is paying third parties to specifically not mention any PS4 versions of their games. Scrutinize the conferences to see if you notice this. =)

All my money will go to Pokemon... and Doritos!

Aye, Activision could just be doing what they always do. No need to assume otherwise until something else is stated.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Nintendo will get at least another 200-400 from me this year (just on buying new games).

I think it's the other way round. Third parties delayed their games to next year because they can't compete the Nintendo's avalanche of first party titles coming during summer/fall.

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

I hope they have some great games in store for us. I love my Wii U so far.

Do you think Nintendo really had a heads up from the publishers on games skipping the U? That would be interesting to know.

I kinda feel the same way, Nintendo and Ubisoft will get most of my money this holiday season. Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs, Rayman and Black Flag are on my list and waiting to see what the Big N has in store for us at e3

Nintendo definitely knows what is and is not coming. That's part of licensing.

No good deeds shall go unpunished. Nintendo deserved all of it.
