Forums - Nintendo - Activision PR Doesn’t List Call Of Duty: Ghosts On Wii U

Last year wasn't Black Ops II not confirmed for Wii U until September?

That's what i'm guessing is happening here. It would make sense, because that's basically how they've done it before, unless Nintendo bothered to promote the game like they did World @ War for E3 2008.

I wonder if this will be enough to make people question the whole "EA conspiracy" thing.

EA is still making their horseshit PR statements. Time goes on, and more evidence of their idiocy piles up.

EA may be a terrible company, but people are too quick to blame them for not releasing games on the Wii U. As more companies do the same, it is looking more and more like a standard business decision. Nintendo has to take some of the blame for this.

Also, the website has preorders for everything else, so it doesn't seem like a mistake.

This subject of EA's butthurt has long been a closed matter in my mind, and we're not going to let this derail the thread.

Ok I'll drop it.

On topic, I am surprised they are skipping it. COD is normally everywhere, and it would be easier to port from PS360 to Wii U than it was to the Wii. The only thing I can think of is the Wii U seems to have some issues with DLC, and maybe they make a lot of money from that.

How much more evidence do we need to know that third party is ignoring WiiU because of the lack of DRM. EA and Activision are doing this from what we are seeing. Let's see who else does it. Yes its happening on PS4 as well.

Thank you.

And it really makes no sense whichever way you slice it, unless the Ghosts Engine is new to both the PS360 and 4-1 versions of the game, and Infinity Ward lacked the time/resources to also put the new engine on Wii U. But if the engine is not universally new, there's really no excuse not to, since they did all the Wii U porting work with Blops II

Given the evidence, it doesn't look good. I would think Activision would want to put COD on the Wii U because they need Nintendo's support for Skylanders, but we'll see.

Maybe Nintendo doesn't want them revealing it until their direct on Tuesday.

Which is stupid so it's probably not true.

It would actually be good for Nintendo long-term, if it looked like they were standing up to third parties for the consumer, but only drive the wedge deeper between Nintendo and third parties in the short-term, making them look bad.

@ JWeinCom, that is true, unless Activision is going to try to make the franchise big on the One.
