Thank god they slowed it down.

I am going to buy the WiiU version because the WiiU version compared to the 3DS does not have the shitty "end of platform/area then flying (to hide loading) and then random spawn on new platform.)  That was really annoying because it was so choppy and obvious....

So WiiU version for me!!!!!!

I haven't played a Sonic games since way back in the day and I could never really get into them, but they've got my attention.

They're actually 2 entirely separate games mate. You can get both!

Before I wasn't really sure if I wanted to get these games because it's been a long time since I've played any Sonic game. However, seeing the actual gameplay videos, they both look good to me. I'll probably get the 3DS version first due to the fact that it will be cheaper.

This might be the first Sonic game I buy since 1999.

I noticed it too but it really seems to flow well to me in terms of the gameplay.  It's not like it takes forever to load.  Only a few seconds, but I do agree that it is obvious (to a well-informed gamer) why they did that.

looks like a mixture of Galaxy/Adventures, then classic modern 2D like Rush, Generations etc.

finally Wii like gameplay (Secret rings, Black knight etc.)
