Simply hats off to greatness when he sees it, very respectable.

Now why can't game companies do this more often, instead of flinging mud like infants?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

MS execs have made a few very respectable, respectful comments toward Sony in the past few weeks. I have a bunch of respect for that. Props.

I'm a Sony/ps3 guy, personally, but I hate arrogance. I hate every time Sony has made a snide comment towards competitors, and I hope they take take a lesson from MS here rather than continuing to demonstrate their current inferiority complex so blatantly (same as many ps3 fanboys). Its a lot harder to be humble and respectful toward opposition; but, that's why its more respectable. Come on, Sony!

A week ago Microsoft wanted to kill Sony, and now they're congratulating them? lol

Microsoft probably wants some of those talented Dogs to switch to their noobie new studios.

He's just doing a little ass kissing, I think...

You know they aren't a hive mind right?

Different employees can say things so long as its PR acceptable.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

lol haha that's kinda harsh the man is trying to be a sport about it :)

This is nice! Reminds me of when Cliff B. congratulated Naughty Dog because of Uncharted 3 (and viceversa, actually).

Major Nelson has always seemed like a nice, level headed sort of guy to me. Hopefully the more petty members of Microsoft and Sony's upper management (along with a chunk of VGchartz's) can take a leaf out of his book.

Pretty sure he's congratulated them in the past, and so has Aaron Greenberg. It's a nice gesture.

He has to do this, so they get some sort of good buzz.

This... You... You're right. This is the only good widely reported MS news we've had since May 21st.
