"Used games determined by publisher, at certain retailers only"

So, the same as Sony?

Sony wont touch the used sales market, because you cant block the games if the console can be used without internet connection at all.   It will be just like with the PS3/2/1.

  • 1 hour if youre on a seperate console, accessing your library
    ...

OP, you are misleading.

It's one hour of offline play!  Read you own link: "With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library."

They are talking about off line play!  You long onto your friends console, access your library - then disconnect and go home.  They can play offline for an hour.

Feel free to hate a system if you want to, but don't spread misinformation.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

I don't know why people are saying Sony can't do it because it's not connected to the internet. The disk and the console can very easily do it without ever connecting to the internet.

Also, you won't need internet to play games on the PS4, BUT so far Sony hasn't said anything about connecting to the internet to activate an used game. Those are two a very different things, especially on sneaky PR talks.

So you are saying the PS4 will have a Bluray burner? Yeah right :D

Its not misinformation, its just linked in with the bulletpoint above it which is the one about the 24 hour check. Think of it as a whole sentence.

If MS talks about the Azure system it will dig their grave even further. They better have the motherload of games at E3.

Locking by Carl-quest.

I'm sorry people. But if you want DRM to not go forward.

Then you have one real option and one conditional option.

1) buy a WiiU. (EA will come back)

2) If Sony says no DRM next week, then option opens to buy PS4.

But under no circumstances should you buy a XBone.

I don't care if you lock it or not, but could be misunderstood as It sounds worse like 'you only get to play on you friends console for an hour.'  But that isn't the case.

If you log in on a friends console you can play your library all you want online.  But If disconnect and go offline you only have an hour.  It sounds worse if 'you only get to play on you friends console for an hour.'

Think of it like this – if I go to my friend Roko and log onto my Amazon Video Library – we can watch all the stuff I have in there.  But if we disconnect from the internet – the Xbox One gives you an hour of game time (the Roku wouldn’t.)

Imagine the disk has locked system in it (pretty much by like on disk DLC), when the disk is used for the first time, the disk activates this locked system which then prevents it for using it on any other consoles except for the first console it was ever used. The only way to unlocked it is to pay a fee, by activating a code, or hacking the console. Pretty simple stuff really.

The internet will be used to activate said game. The system it's not always online, you won't need internet to play the game (after activating it, if it needs to), you won't have to check every day like the Xbone. Practically the same as online pass, the only difference is that instead of multiplayer only, it will be the whole game.

The key words here are "Used games determined by publisher" which Sony has said various times. If it is optional for publisher to use DRM on Xbone, then is no different from what Sony has said to far (minus the checking the internet once a day, that won't be on the PS4). Publishers will be happier with MS because checking connection once a day will make piracy a pain in the ass, while on the PS4 it will be much easier.
