Actually we didn't.  The most we knew was that probably screenshots were going to be shown.  This is a confirmation of an actual trailer (which is much better than a bunch of screenshots + concept art).

While I'm not as big on smash as other games, this proves to me that the ND should be phenomenal.

Well, I'm not surprised, probably because they already said SSB4 would be shown hehe. However, this does confirm that it wont be playable since he surely woulda said so, therefore, no chance of SSB4 demo at Best Buy at all anymore. A shame, but I already was highly doubtful we'd get to play it this year.

The ultimate troll move Nintendo could pull was saying that a demo for this game would be available with the purchase of Wii U fit.

Thought I was the only one! Played Brawl and wasn't too impressed, probably doesn't help that I'm not a big fan of many of Nintendo's franchises. Mario has to be one of the most annoying video game characters ever, there's only so many 'woo-hoo's and 'whee-hee's I can stand before I want to throw something at my telly lol. I love the 3D Mario games but can only play them in small doses.

On-topic, this doesn't qualify as a Megaton. A Megaton announcement is something huge and unexpected like Bayonetta 2 or Super Mario Galaxy 2 that completely surprises people and blows them away. Everyone is expecting to see a trailer or gameplay of SSBU, it's probably only 18 months away from release.
