I'll take the risk and show up to bestbuy an hour before it opens. Never really liked preordering.

I live in Orlando, FL . The area has 50,000 college kids within 10 minutes of me and about 115,000 college kids within 20 minutes of me. There are about 5 gamestops within 15 minutes of where I live and when I asked them in NOVEMBER how many preorders they had, 2 of the stores gave me numbers in the 120's. I can only imagine what they are now.

You'll be able to go into any Best Buy Circuit City etc. and even Gamestops and find the game. They like to pressure people into pre-ordering games when you don't have to. Especially a huge release like this. But games like NMH or other small games you should pre-order. The more you pre-order, the more interest they can collect on money that you're not collecting interest on. DO NOT HELP THAT COMPANY'S BOTTOM LINE. If you buy games from them, buy new, and don't pre-order. That way they make almost no money off of you.
I'll buy it the first day it comes
but I wont pre-order it
Im sure i'll find one
@ Manuelf and pichu_pichu: good luck trying to get the game first day, then.
I've had it preordered since July, but I may have to preorder it again in my hometown, since that's where I'll be that weekend.
If there are 500K pre orders at only gamestop right now, first week sales in NA will probably be 1.5 million minimum. I pre ordered my copy in August.

Man...if Nintendo made "special editions" of their big releases...they'd make a few extra truckloads of cash...and while it'd be cool to have a big Brawl artwork book or collectible stuff, I'm glad Nintendo doesn't sell out in that matter...$50 is enough for a game typically. For Brawl though...I dunno, I could spend a LOT of money.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
I have never needed to pre-order [UK seems to get enough stock of most software, except Wiiplay, but then that's hardware too]
The only way I might be preordering is if I buy online, which I would need to do before release anyway.
To be honest being in PAL territories probably destroys your excitement for most games as they have so often [and still are with Ninty] much later than elsewhere... so we just walk in and buy it whenever, if it's out of stock then so what, come back the next day.
If I don't get it online I will not be preordering, I will likely judt get it day 1 anyway like I did with Galaxy.

lol@ dmeister
Nintendo was a tendency to undership.. this is not microsoft/ halo situation where they SHIP like 5 million day 1. I will be SHOCKED if nintendo ships 2 million.
