that's cool, i just hope he meant in game when you drive and not replay or stuff like that.

but like someone said, 720p would be also fine and maybe even better for next gen because developers have many more ressources for everything else then. for most people, 1080p will bring not many advantages but the whole game made in 720p and everything else better would be sonething everyone would recognize.

They make it sound like some kind of major achievement.

there are games in this generation of consoles that came close to that.

well, i think people talk about multiplat games. if a game is made only for xb1 it could obviously also run with 60fps and in 1080p but that would maybe cost so much power that the graphics itself wouldn't be that good anymore.

on topic: 60fps for a "real" forza was obvious, that's already the case this gen and would be crazy to change. and i think it also means it will be only 720p, otherwise he would probably have said 1080p and wouldn't say all the time how unimportant the resolution is^^

Today Microsoft lost me as a customer.

 i have a huge feeling Forza 5 will not be native resolution full HD 1080p but lower so it can hold a steady 60 FPS

Oh how wrong you are.

For starters... Everyone who has used a 120hz or 144hz computer monitor and ran a game at 120fps/144fps can attest that the improvements are significant. Everyone.
They even notice how much more fluid the mouse cursor moves on screen. :P

That's the PC though. - Where you aren't limited to 1080P and 60hz.

Besides, the human eye does not see in "Framerates". - It's not an electrical/mechanical machine, the brain analyzes the data it receives from the visual cortex, focusing on changes brought on by motion and fluctuations in intensity, duplicated data is then discarded to save on "brain processing" time. - It's incredibly quick and versatile, it would make 30fps and 60fps seem incredibly slow.

Well, I believe more in a developer statement than in the feelings of a random guy on VGC.

when the game releases be sure to check out eurogamers analysis and the lens of truth, they are much better sources than a employee at turn 10 studios.
