Wind Waker almost certainly. Look at OoT for example.

But which one was more popular?

Why would 80 percent of Wii U owners buy it?

They won't. It's an absurd claim.

No game that isn't bundled will ever have that kind of attach ratio. Never mind a remake of all things. OoT is THE most popular Zelda game of all time (hell, it's one of the most popular games of all time period), and the remake did around 3 mill on the 3DS, a system with over 30 million potential buyers. So around 10% attach ratio for a remake of the biggest Zelda ever.

Anyone who thinks Wind Waker will do more than 2 mill tops over the next 3 years or so is out of their mind.

When OoT 3DS released the 3DS wasn't at 30 million. Hell, it wasn't even at 10 million. OoT 3DS helped the 3DS sell. Wind Waker HD could help the Wii U sell.

Wind Waker. Wii U owners are starving for games right now and Wind Waker is awesome.

Signature goes here!

Wind Waker HD has the benefit of the future, Fable Anniversary has the benefit of a much larger install base.

I'm going with what most people said. Fable Anniversary should easily outsell WW at the beginning, but at the end of the gen, WW will probably have a little more.

But yeah don't expect WW HD to do gangbusters. Halo Anniversary did a bit over 2m on a huge install base. Zelda OoT, which is the far more popular Zelda game did 3m on a 30m install base, which is 10 times as much as the current WiiU install base. So at best for WW HD to reach a similar sales level it would need 2 more years after launch. More realistic would be 3+ years, so roughly at the beginning of 2017.

Wind Waker easily. I don't think the Fable Anniversary will do much, maybe a million. I'm not sure if the series has a fan base on the level of Zelda. By that I mean a fanbase that sticks by the series indefinitely.

Wind Waker on the other hand is pretty much at least 2m guaranteed, probably a bit more and could get near 3m. Ocarina of Time on 3DS is at 3m now, and will probably reach 3.5m before the gen is over. While Ocarina is the most popular Zelda game, it's remake is also on a handheld. Generally speaking, console Zelda's do better than handheld Zelda's.

According to this site, the 3DS was up to over 13 mill by the end of 2011. OoT sold around 2 mill that year (66% of it's total sales so far), so that's 2/13 3DS owners who bought it the year it came out. For the most popular Zelda of all time.

But Wind Waker will entice 4/5 Wii U owners? Don't make me laugh

Fable 1 was a fantastic game, and considering massive 360 user base, I think remake has potential to sell maybe close to the original (which would make for around the half of attach ratio of Fable 3).

WW did have higher original sales, but considering that OoT remake sold at around 1:10 on 3DS (for total of some 3+ mil) I'm not sure that WiiU user base can pull a miracle on this one - than again, I might be completely wrong and every U owner goes out and buys it.

I never said 4/5...

Also, you make it sound like it's all set in stone that Wind Waker HD won't have an attach ratio higher than 10% and you call anyone who disagrees a moron...  I'm not gonna argue with you any further because it's pretty clear what you're after.

I imagine Windwaker will sell better. The Zelda series has seen more success.

It should also be noted Wind Waker HD has the advantage of being on a console with a lack luster library thus far. Not a lot of options.

Wind Waker. I'm very bullish on its sales potential. I see 2.5 million lifetime. As for Fable, I don't know. Maybe 1 million?

What is the news on these games anyway? Have we gotten any word if there will be gameplay changes or new dungeons in Wind Waker? And what about Fable? Is it just glossier graphics plus achievements? Or are they changing the mechanics/story/levels, etc?
