Because most people didn't say anything or don't even know how we got to such a point that you can be arrested for what SAY on social network, without getting a fair trial, which is the basis of law and order, a teenager is a living case of complete corruption and abuse of the law : 

He was sent to jail and faces 20 year in jail JUST for posting lyrics to a rap songs he wrote in which he mentions the Boston bombing, without any threat to anyone or any group.

Unlike accidents that can happen to anybody because of bad luck, or random probability, this means that like under any fascist system, THIS can too happen to anybody because of human corrupt decision and laws.

Poor kid. Hopefully someone with common sense is able to check him out and drop the charges if he isn't a threat to society.

I don't know how I feel about this freedom of speech that USA keeps telling its citizens they have a right to...there always appears to be an ** with "but" in fine print.

Those are some of the worst lyrics I've ever read. Ever. That being said, he didn't mention having any specific weapons nor did he mention any place he was going to attack, so obviously this is just a case of terrible writing and not a terrorist threat.

Doesn't sound like a song at all. It sounds like an open threat that he will one day hurt a lot of people and how its everyone else's fault. I cannot believe you don't have any issues with this or cant see the guy is openly showing he has some mental issues.
In a lot of states threatening to kill someone can be very serious.
I am glad the POS is in jail and I hope he stays there.
If he is released and does something stupid, everyone who signed to get him out should be held accountable for any damage he does.

I felt sorry for the kid when I first read about this story about a week ago. Then I read the so called "lyrics'. If those are lyrics, they are some of the worst ever. There is no flow or rhyme to them. Just looks like an open ended threat to those who dont like him or agree with him. Does he deserve 20 years? I dont think so. But to just ignore a statement in which he openly threatens the safety of others would be very irresponsible as well. Odds are he is just a loud mouth punk looking for attention, maybe next time he will think twice about the method he uses to get such attention.

Its one thing if they put him into prison for those terrible lyrics, but just because he mentioned the bombing?

Read the whole article, you'll get the whole story. He doesn't show any mental issues at all unless being a rapper makes him crazy. He has no criminal record and he the police have zero evidence to show he would kill anyone. No guns, no bomb materials. Nothing.

He didn't threaten to kill anyone, that's why this jail sentence is ridiculous and unconstitutional.

20 years in jail for writing that crap?

He didn't mention attacking any place or even threaten to kill anyone. No, this shouldn't have been ignored, but a simple investigation would lead them to find that this kid is no threat to national security. No criminal record. No terrorist ties. No mental health issues as far as we know. The only thing he is guilty of is writing a bad rap. What happened to free speech?
