I compiled a chart of hardware sales for the four first weeks in 2008
(weeks ending 5th of january until 26th):
Totals | ||||||
Wii | 519 971 | 209 209 | 236 052 | 354 359 | 1 319 591
PS3 | 289 565 | 160 281 | 145 786 | 146 742 | 742 374
X360 | 213 240 | 138 543 | 117 336 | 128 878 | 597 997
Totals | 1 022 776 | 508 033 | 499 174 | 629 979 | 2 659 962
PS3 | 28,31 % | 31,55 % | 29,21 % | 23,29 % | 27,91 %
X360 | 20,85 % | 27,27 % | 23,51 % | 20,46 % | 22,48 %
Wii | 50,84 % | 41,18 % | 47,29 % | 56,25 % | 49,61 % |
I'ts perhaps not unexpected to notice how Wii is taking almost 50% of the the market,
but the race for second place is heating up. PS3 has at the moment a small head start (27.9%)
over the 360 (22.5%).
Is this the way for 2008 ?
Lost my faith in VGChartz. Too many stupid and ignorant Americans, even as moderators.
It's a shame, really. "The Boss" should do something radical about this Americanization, but it seems hardly feasible, so my days here are numbered.
