Forums - Nintendo - New Wii U accessories: Wiimote battery packs, Gamepad battery pack, White premium....

I wonder if this is an indication that Nintendo might be moving towards phasing out the 8gb white model?

@hsrob, I think so. It's great to see the 32gig white bundle. They need to phase out the 8 gig ASAP because it's not big enough for basic game updates, let alone downloads. Hopefully this will become a new basic at a lower price point, and the premium will also drop down. Note that the 32gig white is pretty close to an ideal $299 premium at the equivalent of $312. Also great to see the new extended battery and remote batteries.

What's really cool is that it lends more credence to the Super Secret document. I really want to see 3D Mario this fall, but a Smash Bros, Xenoblade 2, Bayonetta 2, Mariokart, Wind Waker and Wii Fit set would be nothing short of amazing. Sonic Lost World could perhaps fill the void of 3D Mario, which could launch in 2014 and boost weak season sales when there is little competition.

great, now I can get batteries for the Wiimotes. don't really need one for the gamepad though

I'm getting the wiimote battery packs first. I can deal with plugging in the gamepad occasionally, but buying new batteries is a pain in the ass.

Same here. Those look really sharp.

Amazing! They're actually releasing an existing color instead of a new one. What a brilliant plan to boost sales...

Yeah, definitely woulda prefered a new new color (Red or Sky Blue personally), but atleast the Wiimote is getting new colors. We'll finally have that Sky Blue color that was shown before the Wii even launched.

New colours? Those wiimotes colours are old, I already have that blue wiimote plus.

Oh... well then... *runs away*

Xenoblade Wii U! Haha, that would be an atrocious name. I see they are bringing back the Wii Fit U. There is no way in hell people are gonna buy this again in masses, right?

Regarding that leaked sheet: do we really believe ssb4 will release THIS year?! I think it's far more likely we'll see mario 3d this year and ssb4 NEXT year. ..

That is the one change I see as far more likely. My only thought is that Smash has been in work potentially longer. I mean we've heard about it and its connection to 3DS way before a new Mario.

However, since this was drafted (if real) its just as plausible that things changed and resources shifted to move up the Mario game and push back the Smash game(s) as they decided they wanted to ensure 3DS and WiiU versions launched together. (notice this list doesn't have 3DS version)

Personally I'm betting we get a MarioKart and Mario game this holiday.
