Paying for cable seems so idiotic these days. Between Hulu and most networks offering their content online for free and dozens of sites that stream or torrent everything else, cable/satellite providers can suck it. I should also mention that I live in a city with an awesome library system that provides almost anything that ever releases on DVD for free.

I do not have internet or television so no Netflix or Hulu either.  I do rent tons of DVDs form my library and that is how I have watched Breaking Bad or Boardwalk Empire for example.  I have never had television since graduating university so five years without it. My television is essentially a video game and DVD/Blu-Ray monitor.

The only exception is I went half and half with a friend to have HBO at their place because I want to do everything to support Game of Thrones, which I then also buy on Blu-Ray day one.  I have since before that show existed had a strong desire to support it.

No, I feel TVs irrelevant these days. Hopefully this is a sign that people will go outside more. :3

Hm, I think it is a sign that streams become more and more important^^

If it wasn't for my parents who like some tv channels only available throught cable, I would have cancelled my subscription by now.

I only watch Game of thrones,Boardwalk empire,CSI, The borgia and revolution. I don't need all the 50+ channels that my cable provider gives me.

Last time I watched TV was about 5 years ago. I'm serious, any movie/TV show I wanna see I just download it illegally.

And you think thats cool? Asshole.

All you torrent people, you dont understand that supporting movies is important? You could even go to movie theater or buy DVD´s/Blu Ray´s

I support movies. I check them out from the library and take them back when I'm done.

Watch very little on TV these days, Dr Who, and a few other shows. Just got rid of SKy, silly prices. I normally buy shows on BR if i like them, just because i hate watching 1 episode a week. Have LoveFilm, which is ok, only downside is them having shows disappear from it.

Still have tons of shows to finish up... but the way normal TV is viewed by many is totally different to what it was like in the 80's and 90's. I think iPlayer has shown that people are not necessarily watching stuff live anymore except big events.
