Forums - Microsoft - What kind of games should MS make?

People hesitate to say what they want, because at the end of the day it might come true and can't play it down.

For those of you saying they need an RPG, there is still Fable. I can't think of any exclusive WRPGs from Sony or Nintendo.

I would like to see another RTS like Halo Wars 2. Halo Wars 1 was really great, with Kinect 2 it might become outstanding.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

MS pumped the market from 2007-08 with great JRPG titles that nobody in the West gave proper attention. Now everybody blames them from doing just what sells.

Look 3 or so down from your original post. LOL!!

Anyway, I don't care what games they make to a certain extent. They'll be atleast 15 exclusives in the first 12 months and many are bound to cater to my tastes as well as third party offerings like Watch Dogs.

Halo Wars 2 and JRPGS

Actually I'm glad you bring up Halo Wars, because I love RTS games, and with this much improved Kinect, I see a lot of potential to possibly create some really cool games in that genre. I'd love to see that

Are you saying a gesture controlled RTS? That could work... Kinect 2 can tell even if a finger is lifted...

Minority Report type controls already are possible, through what I've seen so far anyway. Thank you, I am now intrigued sir.

I wasn't thinking kinect controls only, but rather a good fusion of that with regular controls. If this new kinect is as capable as it looks you could have some really great voice control integration to complement the regular controls, and then maybe you could have some sort of tactical overhead map you can bring up where you would use hand gestures to coordinate your troop's tactical positioning.

Just a thought

They do have Fable, and I really enjoy those games, but like I said in the OP, that franchise seems to be moving more and more towards Action/Adventure with every new installment. The first game was much more of an RPG than the third

Thought? How dare you think! Post gif's!!!  Footage of Minority Report or a time traveling, somehow because he's younger Tom Cruise playing Xbox ONE?

Obviously I don't have to answer here!

AD&D RPG - I'd love to see them get the AD&D license and have Bioware make another game with it

Legacy of Kain Reboot - Have it be like Soul Reaver but with even more content/diversity. It could be one of the Xbox's great Action RPGs.

Wing Commander Reboot - They seem to be playing around with live video playing a role in games and this game would be perfect for it.

The 7th Guest like live-action/puzzle game using Kinect. It's one of the few kinds of games I thought would have been perfect for Kinect on Xbox 360 so it'd be even better with the new Kinect.

Hire Fumito Ueda and Cliff Bleszinski and let each of them make whatever kind of game they want.  Better yet see if they would collaborate on a game.

Have Double Fine and Ron Gilbert make a big budget next generation Monkey Island game. While they're at it they should buy Double Fine outright since they're good at making quirky/quality games.

Buy Remedy and have them bulk up to two development teams and have them create action/adventure games.

Buy Mistwalker and have them oversee 4-5 high quality RPGs

A freelancer 2. - Fairly niche game, but heck it was fun multiplayer with mates back in the day. (PC Exclusive thus far, but Micrososft owns it.)

Halo Wars 2, I enjoyed the first one, best console RTS ever done, still can't touch StarCraft, but I doubt that was it's origional intention anyway, consoles games generally don't have the sophistication that PC ones have for obvious reasons.

I'd love to see more platform games and maybe a sandbox game like Saints Row.

Loved Freelancer, it's a shame MS dumped that ip :(

On Fable, i would prefer if Fable grew up a little now that PM has left, becoming more open world and more grown up (i.e don't care for fart/jokes/love interest stuff). I wouldn't be surprised if the next fable has actually gone down that route and i for one would be happier about that.
