They should sell the instruments separately so someone who's only interested in e.g. drumming doesn't have to buy the whole kit.

What I'd really like to see is some kind of MIDI interface. A few people have built interfaces for electronic drums, but hopefully a third party will build a unit. I certainly don't have the ability to solder and assemble electronic components.

 Could have been worse, they could have based it off a Telecaster rather than the strat. :P

I think they already do this for the 360/PS3 versions. If the GH3 guitars are compatible, I'll just get the game and a drum kit, since I'll have two Les Paul guitars by then. If Harmonix and Activision can't play nice together, I'm not spending $180 on this game.

A few more thoughts:

 

WiiWare launches in March.

Downloadable content for GH3 on the Wii begins in March.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (with in-game support for SD cards and downloadable content) launches in March in the U.S.

Rock Band on Wii launches in April at the earliest.

On Topic: Look. Wii owners got a game they wanted. AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO PETITION. Now everyone buy Rock Band, because it is a good game.
