EU will shit all over this.

MS would not design a device they can't sell in Europe. It's a huge market, and one they know they need to get stronger in.

We don't have all the facts yet. People are jumping the gun

Agreed. They did this hoping it would somehow go unnoticed or this, having to come up with some loop-hole or just negotiate a way to get around it to still sell their product there.

Or, we are jumping the gun! MS would have done research of some-form on European laws, not to mention,do they have offices or a campus of some form in Europe? Surely they'd speak up while it was still in early development?

The Xbox One is an American only device, base on the things I'm hearing. Most of the features supposedly will only work for America, but I'm sure eventually, they'll also make it work for other region by launch.

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

What utter crap.

These people are idiots

Why does Google still exist if they don't like this tracking stuff?

I guarantee nothing will come from this... zero, nowt, bugger all.

well, it's a bad campaign for microsoft here that is for sure but it's still absolutely nonsense.

as example the "spiegel" is a magazne which lies in every waiting room when you go to the doctor or to the barber or wherever, chance is high that millions will read about it and they will obviously believe that the next xbox will spy on us (which it won't)

well, i can surely agree with you in everything you said here BUT, this is some terrible PR for microsoft, and they have to move now. they have to make a clear statement, right now - because this bad news won't stop when they keep silent.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

If MS were a chinese company the US would probably react 10 times worse...

What?! What does google have to do with spying in your living room?

You best not make garantees. The Xbox one, if not illegal will receive alot of bad press from consumer defense associations.

Android phones, as well as iphones(probably windows phone too), keep track of gps info and basically anyting you do on your phone and where. I know apple had an issue where the file was kept in a plain text file. Basically anyting done on search engines, on facebook, on any free site that you register is tracked and recored and sold for advertisement info.

The Australians saw this as a problem too

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Ain't that the truth!

Australia was also complaining a week ago. I don't the EU will let Microsoft sell the XBOne like it is right now. Something will be changed about the device, i guarantee it.
