Forums - Microsoft - Here is why i think the X1 will beat the PS4

Who say's PS4 won't get voice commands? It's ships with an ps eye with microphone you know.

At the current rate X1 is dead on arrival. People on the main xbox forums said the will refuse to buy it depending on used game sales policy/once a day online etc.

And someone said there was a leaked AUS price of 899 which means somewhat 860 USD? Yeah okay buddy.

The word "indoctrination" comes to mind.

X1 wont be dead on arrival. Also the price is insanly high. Many people may be complaining at the moment but it really comes down to your friends. That will certainly have a chain reaction. You have to take in mind that alot of people have invested alot of money and time into the profile they have created. This is not something you can discard so easely. People get attached. It might not sell fast but saying Dead on arrival? I dont think so.  AUS  and US dollar are a diffrent lol. 899 AUS doesnt mean 860 USD.  Thats not how the pricing works in AUS.

You're right about the pricing. It's not a simple currency exchange. But yeah if you and your friends are all talking about how they can't trade games between each other then it's dead on arrival. People will happily startover their profiles on PSN if they could lend/borrow games. This is the main console market. children/adolescents/adults who are still in school/uni who interact in person with friends and who'd want to borrow/lend. If MS tries to break this culture, you bet it's DOA.

Now you can control your TV using your HTC one or Samsung S4.

IMO Xbox one will have a some what similar fate to Wii U..Coz when Wii was released everybody fascinated by motion control and quickly they realized how gimmicky it was and console just sat there collecting dust, turned on once in a while for party play, So when Wii U came out, people assumed it will be gimmicky as wii was and and is not worth the upgrade just for party play, will just sit there collecting dust

Same with MS If they had not introduced Kinect for 360, sales would have sky rocketed through the rough for Xbox One with Kinect, I mean how many people play Kinect games on 360 anymore. So now everyone has a taste of the motion controls and its advantages and flaws (voice command issue) are, MS will have a hard time convincing people, why kinect 2 is better than Kinect 1.

P.S. I wonder how much Kinect is selling right now, wont be surprise if it has dropped drastically same as Wii)

Yeah the Wii did great because it was so cheap and bundled with Wii sports. But more because of the price.

No, more because of Wii Sports. People were regularly paying 400$+ on eBay in it's early days on the market.

Here's why I think you're crazy. The PS3 released after the Xbox 360 and still passed it up. Come on, the Playstation Nation is indestructible.

Xbox One doesn't seem to hold a candle to PS4 and is not a Nintendo console.
That leaves it with a very small target audience.
