the original 8% number came in April so i'm guessing the 6% cut means that

1. the PS4 will be aggressively priced
2, PS3 price cut
3. vita price cut

You can spin anything! To me this is good because it obviously means that they are spending more to ensure that they have enough consoles to launch worldwide....

I think Sony fans should just be happy if Sony reports any sort of profit, especially in the year with the PS4 launch

Well that could mean

a lot of ps4 marketing
a lot investmnet in games and exclusive deals
ps vita price cut
ps3 price cut maybe
some loose on ps 4 hardware

If the cut will be because of PS4 aggressive pricing & marketing, coupled with the PS3 and PS Vita price cut. Then I can see why it can be considered a positive in some regards because if successful then the return in investment will be down the line, especially after the manufacturing costs are reduced. Unless the reasons are entirely something else altogether.

I hope not (on the PS4 lauching at loss). At least one dollar profit in each unit is mandatory now, since if they suceed, lauching at a loss only means more doom.

I hope Sony learned their lesson with the PS3 launch.
