^^Yes yes they should buy Mistwalker already!

I listen to the Last Story music everyday even though I never played it - lovely <3

Too bad, though, you've gotta congratulate Uematsu for that. Lost Odyssey music was powerful too. Sakaguchi and Uematsu make a good team.

And I loved The Last Story. Probably one of the best love stories among the decade. It was a bit easy though, but hey.

Nothing too bad about it. This man is a genius and the world is a better place with him in it, and the people like him. I'm so proud of the industry sometimes. Dem Japanese devs really got it.

mmm I wanna play so many games, but I never get around to it :<

C'mon Nintendo! Buy Mistwalker if Microsoft hasn't done it already and start pumping out JRPGs! Chat with Suda51 to bring Killer is Dead to WiiU! BRING ME YOUR PRECIOUS ZELDA IN GLORIOUS HD!

Nintendo doesn't need to buy Mistwalker.  They already like Nintendo and have expressed desire to make their next big RPG for Wii U.

They like Microsoft too. They were the ones who made possible Mistwalker. By buying Mistwalker, Nintendo ensures that whatever comes from that great mind, it goes to a Nintendo platform.

They don't "like" Microsoft.  Sakaguchi took their money to start a studio and made the two games required.  He then moved on to Wii for his next title.  There really is no point in buying Mistwalker for anyone.  They are essentially an "idea" studio.  They only have a handful of workers and outsource most of the programing to other developers.  The value of Mistwalker is in Sakaguchi's writing and producing and his good friend Uematsu who does the music for him, not in their programing expertese or valuable IPs.  You could buy the company and Sakaguchi could then go do something else and you would essentially have nothing.

Now, signing Sakaguchi to a multi-title deal would be a great move for any company.  Doubtful MS would do it though, since the first attempt didn't work out so great.  Sony is unlikely since they are tight with Square.  Nintendo is the most likely to get Sakaguchi's next several games with Nintendo most likely acting as publisher like they did with Last Story. I would expect 2-3 Mistwalker games on Wii U.

ok thanks. I think Japan is like 8 or 9 hours ahead of us, while west USA is 8 hours behind and East USA is about 5 hours behind

^^There's a countdown timer. It's less confusing than all that timezone stuff.

I'm not sure if that would work, he/them could feel forced to do the games without being inspired, resulting in good but not great games, making the deal a bit pointless.

I think a simpler and better solution would be giving him/them the dev kits (for free) and have a good relationship, enought to be the ones theywill go first with their idea, and then help them funding their game.

Gahh! Countdown timers are horrible! They constantly remind you it's taking too long before the delicious gloriousness will be served... T_T
