I gave it a "good" rating. Only OH SNAP moment that registered for me was Mega Man, which was definitely cool.

The problem is that they had no real surprises. There was almost nothing to push someone on the fence over into the Nintendo camp. It was good for Nintendo fans but I don't seem much here winning new fans.

They needed something huge, in my opinion, but failed to deliver. Solid but not spectacular.

Winning new fans isn't really the issue. Wii U needed games that people want to buy: Mario Kart, Mario 3D Land, Donkey Kong Country, Smash Bros are really exactly the kinds of games they needed to show.

Wish they had more info on X, though.

I disagree.  I think they needed something to pry 360/PS3 owners away from the PS4/XO and I didn't see anything that would come close to doing that.  This year, in particular, is about more than just appealing to your own fanbase.

I'm not saying they did anything wrong, that's why I gave them a "good", but I don't think they did enough, period.  They needed something to get the average person talking and they really didn't.

I understand where you're coming from, as someone who bought a Nintendo for exactly these types of games, but I'm coming from the other side, as a person who is looking for more from Nintendo than the usual.

Honest to God, if there's no open world 3D Mario game on the Wii U I might as well not get the console.

We already knew what these games looked like and played like, because we've played them all a dozen times before. Nintendo are not an original or creative company and have not been for a long time.

This is YOUR opinion on if they are original or creative. A lot of people seem to disagree with that assessment of your.s

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

Btw guys, check the videos again in proper graphics here. You'll feel a bit better about the show :P

2 DKC games in 1 year seems strange to me. I'm also disappointed that Retro's been working on a new DKC game all this time, instead of something different. And SO MANY delays! even for games like Wii Fit & Party.

Super Mario 3D World looks pretty... okay, I guess, but tbh it doesn't appeal to me that much at all. Looks very much like a handheld-type of experience, imo.
MK8 did impress me a lot! Too bad it's a 2014 game. Same goes for Smash Bros. Zelda WW HD looks great, as was expected, apart from the bloom overkill. From the video it doesn't seem like they're changing much at all, though the faster sailing is a plus.

The biggest let down to me was Super Mario 3D World, I don't get this game, why Nintendo used isometric perspective? I was expecting something like Galaxy HD and they delivered a 3DS game.
At least Mario Kart and X are gourgeous.
Donkey Kong again? I like the game, but it will not save the Wii U.
How about F-Zero, Metroid, Star Fox, Earthbound and Zelda (not a remake)? And something new?e)?

They will reach the system eventually. But at the moment Nintendo is right to focus their efforts on greater system sellers for lesser development times.

Shin'en sort of rumored themselves as F-Zero developers through a tweet. But their studio is rather small as far as I know. Luckily, Mario Kart 8 should make the wait easier :)

X was the only thing that made me go wow. It was a very large disappointment.

There goes my hopes of a new Earthbound.

I'm glad Retro is doing a new DK. I'm one of the few people that actually wanted that. Excellent.

Wasting time in W101?

I have yet to see 3D Mario, MK or Smash. Is it true the Mario doesn't look as good as Galaxy? Miyamoto going TOO simple again?

I also enjoyed DK myself. More like a safe bet, they need to start selling the console. Later on, and I hope they do, they would release a Galaxy-type game.

There's  no comparison between a 2.5D Mario and a full 3D one.. just like more of the same... wasn't excited about this one, but surely my little brother will pick this game.

Judging from the reactions in this thread and others, it looks like many Nintendo fans have finally come to the realisation that the Wii U is actually a GC successor, not a Wii successor. Yes, people. That is what it means to be disappointed. Get used to it, because Nintendo is stuck with this brick for at least five years.

I am ahead of the curve, so I can look at these games and say that I am looking forward to most of them. Smash is trash, like usual. Still no Kim Possible, still no buy.

but are we going to see some new MK challenges against you shared and streamed, that is the main thing, can we virtually sit on your sofa on wiiu like the ms/sony promise you can do
