I gave it a "good" rating. Only OH SNAP moment that registered for me was Mega Man, which was definitely cool.

The problem is that they had no real surprises. There was almost nothing to push someone on the fence over into the Nintendo camp. It was good for Nintendo fans but I don't seem much here winning new fans.

They needed something huge, in my opinion, but failed to deliver. Solid but not spectacular.

Winning new fans isn't really the issue. Wii U needed games that people want to buy: Mario Kart, Mario 3D Land, Donkey Kong Country, Smash Bros are really exactly the kinds of games they needed to show.

Wish they had more info on X, though.

I disagree.  I think they needed something to pry 360/PS3 owners away from the PS4/XO and I didn't see anything that would come close to doing that.  This year, in particular, is about more than just appealing to your own fanbase.

I'm not saying they did anything wrong, that's why I gave them a "good", but I don't think they did enough, period.  They needed something to get the average person talking and they really didn't.

I understand where you're coming from, as someone who bought a Nintendo for exactly these types of games, but I'm coming from the other side, as a person who is looking for more from Nintendo than the usual.
