Forums - Nintendo - NFS Rivals not coming to WiiU

Does anyone else not find his quote- "fb3 is scalable" a bit contadictory? If it was so capable and scalable, why is not coming to wiiu?

Cuz don't wanna.

It's well-established at this point. There is no technical reason, it's just a convenient excuse for EA not develop for the platform while simultaneously deriding Nintendo's hardware. Just like how cancelling online passes was a gesture of generosity, not a prelude to even more intrusive next-gen fees and DRM.

Thread has more replies in 13 minutes than the thread I made announcing the game got in 1 hour.

The power of not announcing for Wii-U.

Not announcing a platform > announcing a whole game.

i hope your thread was more successful as my thread about the gta 5 special and collector's edition:

Okey, that was not what Alex Ward said.

Future iterations of Need for Speed on Wii U should see a same-day release as the other consoles, Ward told me, since the studio now knows the hardware. "Fantastic hardware [the Wii U], I love it," Ward ended. "It really got me back into Nintendo software."

As someone pointed out on GAF, you have to read between the lines with these kinds of things.

"If future iterations of Need for Speed come to Wii-U, they should see a same-day release as other consoles".

Forgive, lad. But this is the first thread that popped up as I scrolled down... I'll check yours as soon as I'm done herre. ;)

Ok, this news and the Destructoid are conflicting. Now I really don't know what to believe! 'x_x'

Doesn't Most Wanted use the Frostbite 3 engine? Need for Speed: The Run released earlier and used it...

Now that I think about it, why didn't I ask myself that in the first place? -_-'

No.  It uses a modified Chameleon engine.

"Yeah, Frostbite is not really set up for Wii U. I don't have all the information, so it wouldn't be right for me to speak about it. Frostbite 3 is a really capable engine, it's scalable and it gives us a big advantage on the next generation to support the Xbox One and the PS4, but it's not being developed on the Wii U."

Yeah, that's makes perfect sense.  Thanks, EA.

Yeah, make it conditional if you like. Words are empty if actions don't follow.
