Forums - Microsoft - Proclus's thoughts about Xbox One

We need to all hold hands as gamers and wait until E3. After that, then let the shit storm begin. Glad to see somebody being optimistic about Xbox One cause shit looks grim for MS as it stands.

EDIT: I really hope voice commands is not the only thing you want from Kinect cause that is a huge waste of fucking potential. The Kinect could have been so much more this gen and it got completely ignored. As an xbox fan, don't be so complacent with such "meh" technology like voice recognition. Demand more!

Pretty much my thoughts as well.

Also, 300k servers! Why is nobody talking about that?! That's HUGE

It's naive to think that those are for gamers. They're clearly for the cable network they're setting up. I'm afraid the Xbox One is a TV remote that can play COD.

Even if many of those are for cable networks, that's still good by me. It gives me confidence that they will in fact be doing what's necessary to bring all of X1's capabilities to Europe and other parts of the world, not just the US.

Just the jump in and of itself is incredible. I think they said 15k servers last year or something, to 300k for X1 launch. So for a user base of tens of millions, 15k....to 300k for the launch of a system that will start from scratch. That is massive, no matter how you spin it

I'm going to pass on Xbox one, they can take that money grubbing machine up their butts

THANK YOU. Beneath the mountain of Sony propaganda I am glad someone is seeing the pros. E3 is very close. When the games come, the haters will have nothing to say.

-reliable
- standard hard drive
-bluray

But most important, It was like you said.......just making your own breakfast, doing your daily routine, but talk to your Xbox, turn it on, and you can voice command anything.....music, a quick movie clip, skype, whatever. Thats convenient and look forward to that

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Precisely.

I really dislike not being able to busy and stuff and working with my Xbox at the same time, this fixes that. I love Xbox Music and having it on whilst I'm making/eating breakfast and stuff, but it really isn't worth the effort to turn it on etc on the 360 because it's time consuming. Now fixed.

I love chatting to my mates on XBL, used to spend litteraly 10 hours a day talking to my mate who lives in another city through the headset, now it's even easier and I can do it without fully being busy with the console.

People may think it's silly, but Skype is used by millions each month, it clearly is a functional feature.

It can play up to 15 games + multiplats, actually.
