Yes it will. Phil Harrison confirmed it. Major Nelson confirmed it.

Customer support don't know shit. The next Xbox is a disaster from the look of it. The months of negativity due to rumors were completely justified. Hopefully people do more than just complain and actually speak with their wallet.

it got confirmed that it will....

What? They got it wrong? Sounds like damage control but I hope it's true. I literally changed my mind about the system as soon as the "fee" was announced. I will wait for more info on the matter.

OT. I just read that Live tv will require an additional "supported receiver device" in order to function. Sold separately of course.

A very sudden change of policy maybe?

Update: Microsoft says you won't need to pay a fee if you take a game to a friend's house and sign into their console with your account.

So it looks like - u buy game for XO, use a activation code and play game on your account only. So u cant sell a physical copy of games. U can sell codes for games via Xbox Live.

In a nutshell - GameStop doomed, and no piracy.

if you sign with YOUR account LMAO!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Screw all the users to screw GameStop? Will MS call it "collateral damage"?

Not that DRM cannot screw PC gamers too as badly, but at least bad PC DRMs are often removable with some tools and as much often are removed when the best older games are re-released as classic and budget editions, particularly when these editions are made by GOG.

I would love to know why you think adding an activation code or CDkey for games means no Piracy? I know that CDkeys stopped piracy of PC gaming 100% but I doubt that great feat can be repeated on a console.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

No fee. Got it.

Now we know you can trade in games, kinect can be turned off in privacy settings, and now no used game fee.

Now its just the "1 per day online check-in", and the "can't lend games to a friend" cons.

Cmon, MS, your doing great!
