Lookign very bad.

Yeah, I for one probably won't get a Xbox next time around... It's between PS4 and Wii U now, and PS4 ain't got no BC either....

Is bc that huge of an issue to you? The ps4 might be able to stream ps games eventually with gakai.

I missed out on a shit ton of games this gen (Red Dead, Tomb Raider and all the Uncharted), which means I either have to ditch those games or get a PS3 AND PS4...

ahh I see. None of the next gen consoles will offer bc for the games you want though.

Used games blocking is good - gives more revenue to publishers and better games to us.

Mandatory reg of new games - no big deal. It's gonna be a rare case when your internet is down just when you want to install that new game.

Always Kinect on - does it matter at all? Kinect 2 is prob a low-power device.

No BC - who really uses this anyway? Well some might, but those same people can easily game on their current gen machines in addition to their new console.

No gameplay shown - yes, this is worrying because it could be a sign that MS first party is behind schedule and there simply isn't much to show. This could mean a weak E3 and then a weak launch-lineup. A weak launch-lineup would be distaster for Xbox One.

I understand where you're coming from, but relinquishing your rights as a consumer is a big price to pay for the possibility of better games.

1 WOW you are actually accepting this crap with open hands and trying to rationalize it

2 Well it does happens like when you move to a new place and now you can't play your new game cause the line hasn't been installed or changed yet.

3 What if something happens to my kinect? So no play for me until I get a new one, why you are accepting this is baffling

4 This is a great feature at the beginning of a gen, but I can agree is not a deal breaker and even less when the PS4 won't have BC neither

Naaaw I know... Wii U do offer BC though, and there's still some Wii games I haven't played yet... So, we'll see. I think my next console will be the 3DS actually.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Yeah a new console without BC is a no-go for the first year at least for me. Only thing I've been playing on my Wii U bar things like Lego City and ZombiU are Wii games until the library builds up. But if you don't have BC, you're basically cutting off all of your thousands of previous titles and starting completely afresh, and asking people to pay $500 or so for that is a big risk.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Starting to think Microsoft are taking pleasure in pissing of potential and current customers.

Exactly! I still have some Wii games I need to finish, and that I can do on the Wii U as well. I have a pretty big backlog I need to deal with, and I'm looking foward to play new games as well; bc is the answer to all of that!

I'm not going to defend the policy, particularly when they haven't released full details of it yet but your statement is misleading.  This is a publisher enforcing their end user license agreement which have been around for decades, you as a consumer do not "own" the games you buy.  Technically re-selling them has always been against the publisher/developers wishes.  It seems anti consumer but they aren't in any way infringing a consumers right given the current information we have available.
