Quick rundown for the busy man who doesn't have 15 minutes? (damn work!)

Don't know if it counts, but all "Gym leaders" in Pokemon Stadium 2 were pretty damn strong.

Lt Surge in Pokemon Stadium suffered from an insane difficulty spike. Basically, it took everything you learned from isty and Brock and turned it on its head by giving Raichu Surf, letting it OHKO any Ground mons you have.

From the main series... I guess also Lt Surge. Mostly because of the garbage cans rather than the actual battle though.

Whitney was super hard, but so was the ghost gym right after that. That ghost gym in Silver is the most difficult gym I have *ever* encountered (even with good preparation). Nothing comes close.

That being said, I love that gym for that exact reason. I enjoy being extremely challenged in pokemon... something I never really feel.
