Forums - Gaming - Yakuza 1 and 2 HD - WiiU vs. PS3 graphics comparison

To me both look bad. Close to no texturing, low poly models... But still sad, if pictures show the truth, that the devs don't manage to make an equal port. WiiU should easily be able to do so.

Why would the WIi U version have the mini map on the screen and not on the gamepad?

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Would be pretty funny if someone mis-labeled the images :)

Edit: Image from another source below.

I'm actually somewhat disappointed here. I expected you to have known that, as with Okami and countless other examples, the Wii U version will be the exact same version as the PS3, but as it's a different system it won't be as polished.

Are you deliberately trying to stir? This seems like a non-news story for those who aren't in the know to get some cheap attacks in unfortunately. Let's see how things pan out.

Also, please release the game in the West! Even though both are lazy ports...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

i dont know, but such a difference in resolution seems exaggerated to me...

Speaking of SEGA, do you know what would make me buy a WIIU? VALKYRIA CHRONICLES 4.

No thanks, after Bayonneta 2 I dont want to see another NINTENDO IS STEALING MAH GAMES thread

Would be nice to at least see a western release...of Part 3 I think it was that wasnt released at all.

I have the second on my PSP but it doesn´t look or play so great, it would fit the dual analog from VITA in a perfect way, I wish they make a HD version of 2 and 3 for the handheld.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

What are you talking about? The screens show that it's not the exact same version. Maybe this will save some of our Japanese gamers from buying the WiiU version if they can get the PS3 version instead.

Why is this any less news worthy than the other graphics comparisons that have been posted here?

They are indeed the exact same version.  The only difference is the PS3 has more AA applied and eitehr more AF or soem texture differences scattered about.

No ports from 1 console to the next are every 100% identical so there will always be some minor differences.   Doesn't mean they are not the exact same version of the game.

At underlined: Really?  So that's your agenda for posting this thread?

No AA and a lower resolution are both apparent here. Not saying it will look like that in the end, but it usually doesn't take very long to do HD ports and SEGA certainly shouldn't be working on it for long.

Resolution is exactly the same.   Mabye a difference in some texture resolutions such as on the vending machine (or perhaps that is an Anisotropic Filtering difference) but certain not a difference in display resolution.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

Horrible graphics for both version. Who did the arrows in the image? Is really funny that the intention is to highlight the Wii weakness, but he or she totally forgot to highlight the problems with the PS3 version.

eh are we really going to compare PS2 remasters now ?

Yeah it seems like SEGA used as few money resources as possible here, but it's an HD collection after all. These aren't supposed to show the power of a console or even try to look like they're visual powerhouses.
