if the game is around the same quality as on other consoles then i would always buy it on a Nintendo console but since that almost never happens i end up buying it on xbox instead.

This. We always get jipped in quality or get half assed ports.

and who's fault was that?

between 1980 and mid 1990´s almost solely Nintendo´s mid 1990´s untill 2006 both sides 2006 untill today mostly 3rd parties

Now the world is weird  and people take Prozac  to make it normal.

Whose fault was it that The Orange Box on the PS3 was clearly inferior to other versions?

Sony surely?

PSN: Osc89

NNID: Oscar89

Which GameCube multi-plats were worse than the PS2 versions btw? Maybe my memory is fuzzy but I don't remember many. Most arcade ports between the SNES and Genesis were considerably better on the SNES.

It's always the customers' fault.

Yes and frankly I think its a dumb question.

Anyone who really is a "gamer" likes to play games... lots of them. I want to play a variety of games from many different companies while not having to spend hundreds on different pieces of hardware.

I will want Nintendo IP first and foremost, thus I have to get a Nintendo console. But, I also want plenty of 3rd party titles.

I think most people accept that they want to play a wide variety of great games, not just Nintendo games. But I think to this end most people have accepted they have to buy a Sony or Microsoft console to get the 3rd party content they want.

Or a PC.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

I love 3rd party games! My two favorite games for the DS are 3rd party, and 3/4 of my Wii U games are 3rd party. 3rd parties make great games worth owning on a regular basis.

I like good games. I don't like bad games.

So yes, I do care about third party games on Nintendo systems.

This.

I care about good games not if they are first or third party. If a game is good and I have the money I'll buy it. It's that simple.

What's more, given that Nintendo games don't disappear from the shelves as third party games do, I end up buying more of those just because of that.

Please excuse my bad English.

Only if its an exclusive. Can't see any incentive to buy a wii-u for any of the current third party offerings both announced and released. More than likely in the future.

There isn't any first party out at the moment for me to warrant a purchase.

But I do expect a few titles. Hopefully more than what the wii had.

edit: someone is gonna misunderstand my post and see it as an anti-Nintendo response l0l

That would be unfortunate, because "there isn't any first party out at the moment for me to warrant a purchase" is a very reasonable statement that I happen to agree with. I'm waiting on X.
