Please make the gameplay nothing like current gen Sonic games. The physics, among other things, are just horrible.

All we get is a CG screenshot? That's... basically nothing. >.>
I guess it confirms they have been working on new sonic games, but that was a given. Hopefully E3 shall give a real look.

I thought the physics on Generations were pretty good. For me Colours is the best post Dreamcast Sonic title though. I'd quite happily take a Wii Shop Sonic Colours HD re-release! I think Generations was actually a step back from Colours in how the game played. But this might explain why SEGA require additional programming assistance etc with Sonic. They are another company who really struggled with the transition to the HD consoles.

There's a few things I can take away from this -

1. Sonic is probably going to be a major presence on Wii U. Not surprising, as Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed (I hate that title) performed fairly well.
2. I hope I'm not the only one who thought the new Mario Vs. Sonic game looked like it might be pretty decent.
3. There's been rumors about a Wii U exclusive Sonic title for a while now. Glad to see them come true.

Maybe I'm just a closet Wii fanboy who happens to only play PS Vita games at the moment! OMG Colours on Vita!!!!!!!!!!! Never gonna happen but...

That said, kinda glad I have a Wii U sat in the front room now. Especially now that Pikmin finally has a concrete release date! :D Happy times!

Sonic generation, at least on the 360 had input delay issues. It wasnt great at all in 2D because of that and the 3D section Sonic unleashed style are still crap.

My hope is they either go back to Sonic adventure 2 speed stages gameplay or just stick to 2D all the way.

Or... you know... Nintendo gets in there and does something right for them. They are experts at making platformers.
