Ace Attorney 5 has been announced for the West and a release time has been set, which is fall. The game has also been renamed to Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies and will be digital only on the 3DS E-shop.

In this new title we will see the return of Phoenix Wright after his 8 years of not being a lawyer. We will also see the return of Apollo Justice, the main character of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Not only that, we will also see a brand new character called Athena Cykes, which will serve as the new assistant and she will introduce a new gameplay mechaninc in the courtroom.

This new mechanic is called Mood Matrix, which in you will be able to see the emotions of characters in the wittness stand.

Besides that, Dual Destinies will also star a new proscecutor.

I can't wait for this - now all we need is Layton vs. Phoenix localization and a 3DS Ace Attorney Collection

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Also, the sequel to the brilliant Miles Edgeworth - I don't want to have to rely on fan translations for yet another game that was never localized (I've already had to do this for Fire Emblem 12 and Tales of Innocence)
