Forums - Nintendo - Anyone else enjoy FPS on the DS?

I really enjoyed Metroid Prime Hunters - even though Retro didn't do that one. It's the only FPS I've played on my DS - but if Moon is really good I might try it out

EDIT: I'm watching gameplay of Moon now and it looks really awesome! I'm intrigued to add another game to my enormous DS library

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

I have only played two, but I have to say that I am impressed. I think I love Stylus FPS games. Moon is the one I am playing right now. Great atmosphere and music. The controls are wonderful. I never thought that I would enjoy a FPS where I had to hold the 3DS with my left hand and shoot with that hand as well, then aim with the stylus and my right.

The other game I played was CoD: Modern Warfare.  Another great FPS for the DS.

Anyone else really enjoy FPS on the DS? Or even the 3DS, since that is what I am playing Moon on now.

Renegade Kid made Dementium too - we seem to get only quality experiences from those guys

I think there is some kind of law where Nintendo fans aren't supposed to admit to liking FPS games in public. Expect a citation.

FPS on DS were good if one only played games on a DS.

I played the Hunters game and thought the controls were pretty bad. It was doable but definitely felt like a hindrance.

The stylus controls for FPS games isn't for me. Very uncomfortable.

I played through CoD4 on the DS. It actually wasn't bad.

They were the only company I think gave a legit shot at putting a FPS on the DS, I wish we'd see something from them on the 3DS but who knows.

Since when Nintendo fans shouldn't like FPS? You are generalizing dude.

Nintendo and PC gamer

Hunters is still one of my favorite fps games ever. Was really really good at the online, and loved the stylus controls. A game just like that with better graphics for 3ds would blow me away.
