Are we not allowed boobies in avatars?

I mean, are we now discriminating against women that are big up front?

Yes, I would feel very bad if I were a large breasted woman and I couldn't post my picture on this site in my stylish shirt.

As would I. Im fighting for your rights, Jay520.

How about videogame characters that show off clevage? Ivy from Soul Calibur, for example?

lol No i don't feel defeated at all.

1. I feel i have offered conrete proof of what I said.

2. Your view is different than mine so you offer different reasoning.  And no matter how many times or in what ways I say it I can see i will not change your mind on it.

3. Will it change the site?  I see it hurting the site and making it seem even more unprofessional than what members from other sites see it.

4. I also am not aware of other sites that allow these kind of avatars.

5. The reason for school is learning and social activity.  Dress codes are still applied even though they do not effect these principals.  Same goes to work.

6. This site is for games and if people want a site for these type of pictures they can look them up on there own time.

7. And Carl's is not my only complaint, I've mentioned that.  Pezus's signature is far worst than carl's avatar.  While i have no problems with the users themselves I still see them innapropriate for a gaming website.

Okay I lied. I had every intention on replying to you. Sorry if you feel mislead.

Anyway, I have a lot of seperate points I would like to address.

1. No

2. Yeah, but one of us is objectively wrong.

3. Certain avatars aren't appropriate for professional settings, yes I agree. But have you realized you should not be on this website in a professional setting?

4. Other sites are wrong.

5. Actually no. Sexually attractive figures can very easily distract a teenage student preventing him from focusing on his school work. It can also distract a worker and prevent him from working as efficiently as possible. There area few differences with an forum. FIrst of all, these are just pictures and not actually people, so the effect is lessened considerably. Secondly, no comes here to work. They come here to chill, relax, and talk. Even if people were distracted for a little while, that wouldn't matter since no one comes here to get work done.

6. Poor argument. Using that logic I could say " This site is for games and if people want a site for Fight Club pictures they can look them up on there own time. Fight Club should not be allowed".

7. You can disable sigs like I do.

Let's be honest about your picture and just say her face is not why you put that as your avatar.  If someone is around whether it be my friend, boss, family, or whomever sees that picture on my computer the questions flies.  "What kind of site are you on?"

if your friends asked you that question, the easy answer would be: a game site where people can choose their avatars. Seems simple enough.

The problem is nobody should have to ask this question.  All it does is make this site look unprofessional and the users as immature boys who can't control there hormones.

and why does someone behind you ask what site it is when he can see someone with an avatar like carl has but he wouldn't ask you the same question with your avatar? do you think someone would see carl's avatar and would think it's a porno site but would know you are on a video game site even if you would have an avatar like i have? (which you don't have, your avatar is as much about video games as carl's is)

carl's avatar doesn't look like a pic from a porno site, if i would see his avatar i would think the same as i would think with your avatar, that it's probably a "social forum" about everything.

Because my avatar is not controversial.  Many people doesn't even know it is Tyler Durden from Fight Club.  If you are going to debate with me at least be honest about it.  If your views are different than mine I'm ok with that, but do be honest about things.

1.  Seem difference of opinion.

2.  Yeah and it has Jay in it XD  Which one though ;P lol

3.  I also stated family and friends.  Not just professional settings.

4. Nah, I feel other sites are right.

5.   These are real people.  They are not digitally created (for the most part).  And work and school has other reasons for dress codes.  When you have an employee dressed as such it makes the company look bad.

6.  Not a controversial picture.

7. Yes I can but sigs are a nice feature excluding a few sigs.

How would you answer?

I stated before I should never have to answer this question.

i'm honest about it, your avatar has as much to do with a gaming forum as carl's, nothing. in one of your posts you said avatar's like carl's have nothing to do in gaming forums, i don't think so because it would be really boring if everything here would be only about gaming just because it's a video game forum. but if i would think so i would think everything not game related should be banned, if carl's avatar, your avatar, threads about movies or sport or whatever.

i have absolutely no clue how anyone could have a problem with pezus' sig or carl's avatar and i have also no clue how that could be nsfw if you are allowed to surf on a video game site wherever you work. here where i live, if i am allowed to surf on a video game forum, i'm also allowed to watch a gif of a french singer dancing on the stage and shaking her ass. both is allowed or both not.

and i also don't know why anyone at home should ask me what a forum it is just because of carl's avatar. if someone would ask me that, this person would probably ask me the same question with any avatar or even without avatar.

hmm, most of the avatars posted seem ok. As long as it isn't straight up porn lol. Pezus avatar isn't the problem, it's his sig. It's to awesome distracting.
