People thinking MK8 won't top the chart has clearly not been here before or maybe should take a lesson.
MK8 will still follow the usual Nintendo pattern or any other game, with the benefit of getting enormous boosts compared to good boosts.

But isn't Persona a bit like that too? I'm sure it will get big boosts close to release

Well, it's a spin-off to begin with and It'll probably get around 150pts in the end. I son't it has a shot compared to MK8 though. the reason Persona is also getting points is that it has been getting new covarage constantly. People like what they see and start pre-ordering. That's why we saw MK8 getting those good days a few days back.

It was about time that Final Fantasy XIV appeared, even if it is a better looking port, it was quite surprising to not see it appeared till now, specially because of the Final Fantasy name.

COMG guide to points: 1 point = Raging. 2 points = Beasting. 3 points = Tearing it up. 4 points = Berzerk. 7 points = Rampage. 12 points = Burst. 15 points = god mode. 20+ points = DIVIDING BY ZERO!!! 40+ points = Youkai (originally Pokemon).

-1 = Negabeasting. -5= NegaRampage. -10 = NegaBurst
