In 20 days....this thread will get real boring. I wish Nintendo opened pre-orders for their games more in advance. I would be nice to see some WiiU games chart.

Also I wonder how long until Bravely Second charts.

It's not really 50/50, publisher absorbs all costs of advertising and pays for the development of the game and owns the rights to the IP if I'm not mistaken, but there's many different terms of agreements that both parties may agree to. In any case, it's Nintendo's game this time, as with F-ZERO for GC, but of course, Sega will be raking in some cash with the royalties for their characters (although this time there won't be any cash to be raked)

This DQX version will no doubt sell less than the original. Just take a look at FFXIII sales, then FFXIII-II sales and finaly Lightning Returns sales to get an idea of how this game will sell compared to the first one.

it's not a sequel, it's still the same DQ X. and preorders are far higher than the original.

I wonder how high Madoka will go. I believe it's the first actual game from the series, so it should well. I'm thinking 100-125k lifetime.

I never said it was a sequel, don't lie. I said that you should guide yourself in the FFXIII games sales trend. As others said, preorders are far higher because people could buy the previous game digitally with a big discount, so many went that way. Besides, this is an expansion, of course there will be more people buying the game upfront than before since they already own the original game. And expansions never do better than the original if released on the same platform.

But you keep on deluding yourself and thinking everything Nintendo related is rainbows and unicorns. The more you do it, the greater your frustration will be when you realize it's not that way, so props to you.
