the new games charting at the bottom are really low. We could see a lot of changes in the next few days.

Sorry if this is old news but here are some first day sellthroughs.

GT6 - 40%
DQX - Over 80% on Wii and Wii U. Apparently finding a copy isn't easy.
Attack on Titan - ~50%
Inazuma (combined) - Less than 20%
Mario and Sonic - Less than 5%
Gaist Crusher - ~2%
Bravely Default - Less than 50%

OK Nintendo, just give up that franchise already. No one likes it anymore and less so at the Winter Olympics. I know you reuse all assets, but still it's a waste of time and manpower. Do something to make your console RELEVANT once again. This turd is simply embarrassing.

As for DQX, it's obviously both retailers and SE's faults by being too afraid of low sales, more so on the WiiU.
Wii version will probably go over 250k LT, but WiiU version will be lucky to break 100k.

Good to see a Capcom game bomb so very badly though! They are shrinking and shrinking as a dev. They could as well name the company MonHun Inc.

someone said that the original DQX for wii u had 17 points of pre orders and debuted with 34k. this expansion pack more than tripled the original preorders. since the original sold 100k ltd, i see no reason why the expansion wouldn't easily top that.

It may be more frontloaded as WiiU owners now own the previous version, but it won't sell more units. If it does it will be an anomaly. Do yo really believe the game will sell 100k on its opening week?

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

looking on preorders alone, it depends.

If I remember, when the standalone version of DQX launched earlier this year there was a significant discount if you bought digital on WiiU, so although it didn't do very much at retail, overall sales were better. This time though I don't believe there is a digital discount so in theory there'll a higher physical to digital ratio, which would explain why the COMG! figures are higher

However overall the expansion pack will ultimately sell less than the original LTD, although if it's particularly good it may drive more people to buy the standalone version - it will be interesting if it creeps into the bottom of some of the trackers

Like Kong says, there isn't a digital version of the DQX expansion, at least that's what GAF were saying. Which explains the vastly inflated retail figures. Still good, though.

Holy shit at Gaist Crusher, though. That was the MonHun for kids game, right? Maybe it'll have legs; let's hope so.

It should have some horribad legs, so they really should have tried to get retailers to take more copies. It has just about every leg killing mark you can apply to video games.
