I've noticed a similar slowness with Sun and Moon in the media create threads. I know that the 3DS is on its way out and these are sequels, but it seems like Pokémon's popularity in Japan has been steadily decreasing.

So Odyssey lost the peorder battle with 3D Land but it did crush 3D World. It should pass 200. Will be interesting to follow the sales battle.
