oh tBone, we all Nintendo lovers. But let's be realistics here. Even in Europe Wii U is better than Japan. But how knows? Maybe 3D World is what Wii U needs right
I took a look, and i look twice, that's odd, Mario is not even in the 2013 bestseller http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/bestsellers/2013/videogames/ref=zg_bs_tab_t_bsar#1
Though, amason is not really the best indicator of the reality ( danganronpa sold very well on amason, in the top 20 )
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m

Dude seriously, drop it. Amazon is not an indicator, I know that we are discussing COMG ranking, which is also not that telling, but if anything it provides better information than Amazon.
Please, understand that there is a possibility that the game underperforms, that WiiU is going to be an irrelevant console. You are probably trying to hold to the best scenario, others are focusing on other scenarios. If you want to convince others, you may have to try better arguments. But, I'd suggest that you just try to relax, and enjoy the numbers.
Just checking a few things on Amazon, 3DS still dominating the hardware side, PS4 has a hardware bundle at number 5 which is a good indication and Super Mario 3D World has jumped a lot of places and is on the rise. Doesn't tell the full story but it does mean that Mario is starting to move.
Sadly, the update kinda brings what I expected. Not worried for Mario from the performance of previous Wii subtitles here, but...it's not the most positive start to the resurgence.
