PSVR sold 77.332 in 2016 (Sales up to 1st of January of 2017) according to Media Create.

PSVR sales are only for subscribers, though. I will probably be able to update this number once a year.

Woah, so after the ~50k first week Sony only shipped half of that for the rest of the year in Japan. Did Sony not expect to sell many there or do they view the west as soo much more important that they allocated pretty much all of their limited production to get it rolling there?

Considering they weren't able to ship 1m units WW, I doubt they have been able to put out much for JP market. I remember they had a shipment spike with Summer Lesson, but that's it.
