Zelda is just not all that popular over there.

1. If to reach 1 million is now the line of Japan care or not about one game. then, they only care about very few games.

2. True, but being more popular in one region doesn't mean that it's not popular in other region, or that people on that region don't care

3. Skyward Sword bombed in Japan, it's not a good metric to use. There are games more popular than Zelda, but again this doesn't mean that Zelda isn't popular or they don't care

Yeah i never really got the zelda isnt a big franchise in japan arguement. Only reason why people say that is because its super popular in US in comparison. By that logic pokemon isnt big in the west as its top 3 franchise in japan.

The game is undertracked on VGC: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/finance/software/3ds.html. However, but what amount those sales are digital I'm not sure. Though, I do know AC has a fairly sizable portion of eShop sales from prior knowledge.
