Are you talking about Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii? That's a console exclusive. It also came out in 2009, when console games sold better compared to nowadays.

Plus the Switch fulfills the demand for a console version as well, just play it docked.

A version taking advantage of the ps4 and ps4 pro would be a lot more advanced then the Switch version. And between the ps4/pc version it would definitely sell enough to justify it.

PS4 Pro/PC are super niche. A realistic PS4 version of MH5 would be visually almost identical to the docked Switch version, possibly at a higher resolution. Look back at previous console versions of MH and they've never been particularly ambitious.

I just wanna say, PC ain´t niche at all. That is all.

Though in the case of MH you are probably right (as they never pushed it there outside of China with that CryEngine running MH ... forgot what its called).

Pc and ps4 have decent install bases and would get a better version. Most ps4 and pc players aren't going to buy a switch. There's a market there. Monster hunter games are pretty basic and not costly to make.

Unless Nintendo pays for exclusivity capcom are throwing away money by making it Switch exclusive.

MH sold very well on 3DS, so Capcom is doing anything but throwing money away is not one of them
