FFXV lost a point...Final Fantasy is dead, Square-Enix just shot themselves on the foot for not making FFXV turn-based, now they'll learn what it is to piss off their fanbase, which just wanted a traiditional turn-based  game set in medieval ages and not this One Direction simulator with mindless action combat. I hope this means the return of the Final Fantasy I used to love.

They know that very, very well already XP
Have you forgotten the XIII trilogy? :o

Anyway, I belive FF XV will be a very successful game.

Nope, but this time the rage of the fanbase is so big that they are actually cancelling pre-orders and instead are pre-ordering Persona 5 because it has actual waifus female characters  :P

I predicted it would be under 20K in April/May.

...Well, not happen in April, but May is a worse month, it still may happen. If will, should happen the week after Uncharted 4. If not, probabily won't. :p (maybe can happen in July cause this time May has Uncharted and Dragon Quest. Anyway should be easy over 20K in June cause is a better month probabily)

Why is June expected to be an ok month?  Kids off on their summer holidays?  The release schedule seems pretty Baron in June though.

Nah, normally June is a better month than May because it has more releases that rise overall sales. But this year, talking about PS4, May has bigger releases than June, that is empty except the last week. So this year May isn't going to be horrible, and June will be slower.

Summer Holidays start in mid-July in Japan, that's when some leggy games start to increase their sales.

Thank you hiska-san.  I guess that makes sense.  So if ps4 manages a 5th 2016 month in a row above 20k it should be kind of expected rather than surprising.

I suppose June will show us the how low the baseline will go this year.  I'd love it to be over 20k but it's asking a lot of a home console in the land of handhelds and in a Baron month.

I liked Final Fantasy XII, but overall, I think I'm done with the series after PS1. Xenoblade Chronicles was my favorite RPG on last-gen, and I can confirm that I had way more fun with it than FF XII. That's why I'm not excited with FF XV as I would be around 6 or 7 years ago.

I'm not saying that I want the game to bomb, of course. But I think today I have way more options if I want to play a good RPG. Final Fantasy is not the obvious option anymore.

That said, today was a boring day. I wonder when Yo-Kai will pick up steam.

Bad day for final fantasy, but overall a slow day

Why are you all saying that FF is dead ? It's just one point today it will have two or three , it's FF it will make 8M on the world .Looks like the people on internet have forgotten that persona is a niche game , it will make 500k in japan

The reactions here are sarcastic, just having a little fun. We all know that FF will be big. These days, a lot of exaggerations and dramatic reactions suround every small thing related to FF. People here are making fun of that.

It was a good run Uncharted 4!!!

YSO predictions

01. [PS4] Uncharted 4: A Thief's End < 140k (average 115k)
02. [3DS] Kirby: Planet Robobot < 50k (average 40k)
03. [3DS] Yo-Kai Sangokushi < 25k (average 20k

So YSO vs MC for Kirby

W1. 100k (145k)
W2. 85k (??k)
W3. 40k (??k)

To 225k vs 145k

Oh, so I remember right, YSO underestimated kirby FW in a considerable extend ( 45k doesn't seem big in general,  but for a game that first week sales are in the range 150-300+ it is)... Can you make a comparison with triple deluxe please?
