Star Wars in and by itself is pretty big in Japan. I'm more wondering about the fact that the game is doing well because it's a multplayer shooter, which are not exactly the best-selling genre in Japan (well, outside of Splatoon, but nobody came close to predicting how well the game would sell there because shooters don't do too well there)

They do Okay. Last year top selling "shooting game" GTA V at almost 1m. CoD did 150k+. BF3 in the past did 300k+ I think.

 

My guess is 150k+ now that PS4 has an install base to back it up.

Outside of the million for GTA V (and even those to a more limited degree), these numbers would be seen as massive failures if applied to the western markets. While I agree they are doing okay, the numbers just can't be compared to western sales figures.


Seems the taste of gamers in japan changed a little bit:)

Not so hot from KanColle, I'm expecting another delay, specially with no appearance on this TGS just two months before release.
Trigger World seems to have a better FW than expected.

Why are people expecting points from KanColle? We know almost nothing about the game and we haven't seen a gameplay trailer yet.
