Go 3DS games! Youkai, AC, DQ VIII re should all do very well softwarewise, but I doubt we'll see much of a boost for hardware, it seems the 3DS has reached (near) saturation in the JP market.

I just saw super mystery dungeon on Amazon.. so I'm guessing its preorders just opened. I wonder if mystery dungeon spin offs beast similar to main story games.

Yeah, that game is the very definition of legs. Opening with 53k and selling 1m+ LT is no small achievement. The anime helped it quite a bit.

Gates to Infinity ended with 129pt, so I imagine this one will do similarly (if not more) due to the larger 3DS install base, the lack of a mainline Pokemon game this year, the fact that the most recent entry was 3 years ago and this game is just supposed to be better than Gates in general.

I blame MGS V: TPP's disappointing performance on MGS: GZ's lack of content.

When Yokai is released the 3DS will sell about 60,000 in Japan
