While OoT isn't the expectation, 3D has one victory over 2D so far.

Aye, the time of release and the fact that it's Ocarina of Time have a hand in that. We'll see how MM does. Better than LBW is certainly possible, but I don't expect OoT numbers.

But, I meant OoT3D numbers. Believe it or not there was someone expecting MM3D to surpass OoT3D sales, and he's probably not alone.
