Dont japanese love kirby though? I mean Looking at the franchise's sales there, its pretty huge. Didn't TripleDeluxe do like 500k-600k in japan? 

Rainbow Curse aint going to be mega huge but it should do pretty decent. Even DK:TF started with a 35k FW and ended up so far around 110-120k lifetime (so far). My guess is it will do similar to Pikmin, maybe slightly less.

 

edit: looks like the traditional ones do alot better than spin offs. Game can still do decently FW and lifetime. Maybe around a 60k-80k opening and close to 200k lifetime?

Well u could say the same thing about Donkey Kong, the 3 titles on SNES, the one on N64 and the one on Wii all passed 1 million. On Wii U it will be lucky to reach 1/4 of that. Just because Kirby is popular in Japan doesn't mean it will necessarily do well on Wii U, also Canvas Curse on DS only sold 320k I believe.

Thats true, i looked at kirby overall being better because of how many releases it has especially in the last 10 years compared to DK (only 1 excluding DK:TF+3ds port). Kirby has done pretty good and the last game though it was on 3ds did Extremely well. 

Kirby could potentially do good, or it can do bad. Its not guaranteed either way. All i was saying is i personally dont think it'll be less popular (or about the same) in japan than DK:TF (which I think Boutros was pointing out).
