Forums - Nintendo - How many will sell Nintendo barrage of 3DS games in fiscal year 2013

I am surprised too at how LM2 sold. I did not think it was a game that needed a sequel but apparently, there is a strong demand for that game and it may become a full franchise.

Hell, Luigi's Mansion STILL sells over 100k every week. It STILL is in the top half of Top 10 constantly. This game will sell a LOT more then an additional 1Mil this year...

i still stand at wat isaid a long time ago, Luigi will sell 3.2mil units in 2013, and over 5mil LIfetime. It has good legs as of now and it should average out at least 30-40k WW by june weekly ntill holiday then boost up alot imo

if the legs continue like this... luigi might show mario like legs.... its a stretch but maybe 8 million lifetime?

i didnt expect luigi to sell this much but more than 100k for 5-6 weeks now? that is a good legs and nintendo games on holidays are beast....

Am I the only one who can't wait for Yoshi's Island 3DS? The Clay-Look is just sooo perfect after seeing the "clay"-animations in the original.

But back to the topic, i guess about 40-50 Million.

I think pokemon X/Y combined will be upwards of 15 mil



     
Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

I think I guessed ~3,5Mil LT, I think it will definately reach this, maybe even still in 2013.

lol same too you! Yea i remember asking what people would think this game would sell lifetime. I said it has the potetial to sell 7-8mil  lifetime. butmy logic/realstic guess was/is over 5mil lifetime. alot of people said this game wont sell more than 3mil lifetime and the only reason luigi mansion on gcn sold was cuz it was a launch and no mario 3d game lol. THEYRE SO WRONG!!!!!

Some people here...with Miyamoto as leading designer this game was bound to be a masterpiece and sell as such XD

Only thing Nintendo did wrong was not have this...

The year of Luigi needs this now not fall or watever and bring it to Euro/US/Everywhere else!!!  TBH i think this would have boosted hardware alot and the game could of sold an extra 100k-150k WW. My bro wants this so bad lol

40-50 mil

only Pokemon will sell around 12mil, DK, Mario Party, Mario and Luigi will sell more than 1mil each
