Depends on the cost. Max I would pay is 50$ extra. If it's anything more then I'd rather just keep my PS3 to play PS3 games.

Nope. I got my PS3 and I don't intend to sell it. The PS3, PS4 and Wii U can all fit in my living room without any trouble.

I'd be willing to pay over $100 extra for BC. Why? My PS3 broke 2 years ago, and I haven't replaced it because I was hoping the PS4 would be BC. PS4 isn't BC though, so now I have to pay $200 or so (will find a sale) for a standalone PS3, and I'll wait a couple years for PS4 price cuts, so I don't spend too much money on consoles.

Ideally, I'd like to wait until PS4 is $150 or so cheaper then at launch, as a protest, since I think PS4 should have been BC, and I'm not paying extra because they chose not to make it so.

meh im happy, im keeping my ps3 and i love having heaps of consoles hooked up at once. right now i have my ps3, ps2, WiiU and N64 all set up

It would have helped my decision of getting a PS4.

Now it looks like I'll get get a PS3 soon and buy PS4 at end of gen.

It's simple : it's out of the question that I have two consoles in my room.

When Sony cut the BC on the PS3 for PS2 well I though "screw them, I'm going to pirate and emulate it on my PC".

If they release the PS4 without BC, then I'm simply keeping the PS3 until I can emulate it and make room for lower priced PS4.
